The ability to have ships just isn't as cool as having pals to ride on IMO, so I can see why they dropped this. Having a sniping feature should definitely make it's way into the game, would make it much easier to sneak up on pals from a distance. Jormuntide definitely needs a tamer, it's a cool pal and I like her aesthetic too. I like that giant pal, I hope it makes it's way into the game as a event Pal in the future.
 
Just saw this, I am actually really hyped now about the Floating Sky Kingdom, that looks absolutely amazing, I hope they make an entire map with the floating sky kingdom theme, I just love these fantasy stuff
