So first off, welcome. Second, if you have never used mods or tweaked mods in the past, it would be best if you downloaded a few mods that peek your interest and explore those files in your favorite text editor, in the case of lua mods. In the case of pak mods, while I myself do not have any first hand experience with pak mods. While i do not have the link on hand, there is a github available, I think its github, that explains the in's and out's of modding and should be able to help you if you wish to proceed. if I come across the link I will post it here for you.
