Recently there's been numerous complaints about cheating and hackers wiping out whole servers and players' progress. Disrupting the harmony and fair play that the game is known for. But there's a silver lining on the horizon, as the Palworld developers have stepped up to shine a light on these dark practices, bringing hope to players worldwide.

A Commitment to Fair Play

The essence of Palworld—a game that thrives on exploration, creature collection, and battles—has been tainted for some, as official server access issues due to cheating have come to the fore. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the developers have laid out a clear, unwavering stance: cheating and fraud will not be tolerated. This isn't just about maintaining game mechanics; it's about preserving a community built on respect and fairness.

Strategic Countermeasures

In a bold move to reclaim the integrity of Palworld, the developers have announced a twofold strategy aimed at deterring wrongdoers and ensuring a level playing field for all:

  • Launch of the Player List Function: By the end of February, a significant update is expected to roll out—a player list function designed to keep a closer eye on those attempting to skirt the rules. This feature isn't just a tool; it's a statement. It signifies the developers' dedication to actively rooting out cheating and safeguarding the Palworld experience for its genuine players.
  • Adoption of an External Anti-Cheat Solution: With the understanding that some forms of cheating are more sophisticated than others, the developers are set to integrate an advanced external anti-cheat solution. This isn't just about catching the culprits; it's about prevention. However, in a nod to the diverse ways Palworld can be enjoyed, this measure will be optional for community servers, single-player, and co-op modes, striking a balance between security and player freedom.
An Apology and a Promise

The journey to this point hasn't been without its bumps. The developers openly acknowledge that their efforts to combat cheating haven't always been as swift or as effective as they had hoped. In a heartfelt apology to the community, they express their regret for any frustration or inconvenience caused. Yet, this acknowledgment comes with a promise—a vow to not only continue fighting against these issues but to do so with renewed vigor and resolve.

Looking Forward

The message from Palworld's developers is clear: they are on a mission to restore the joy and excitement that define the game. With these new measures and a commitment to transparency and communication, the future looks bright for Palworld. Players are encouraged to stay tuned for updates and to join hands with the developers in fostering a game environment that everyone can be proud of.

As we await the implementation of these changes, one thing is certain: the Palworld community's spirit remains unbroken. With the developers' proactive approach and the community's enduring passion, Palworld is set to emerge stronger, fairer, and more thrilling than ever before.

I'm happy they're addressing issues with hackers. It's annoying when players do this to other players, this is one of the reasons why I typically will play solo rather than going online and playing with other players. (Of course I know I could trust some of the people that have asked to play online with me, but I still get weary lol.)

Why do people do this? I will never understand the logic of cheating in a game. Yes, I understand the concept. I just don't understand why.
They just like to ruin the fun for others it seems. I don't mind people cheating in single player games, but when it comes to multiplayer games like Palworld it just ruins it for everyone other than the cheater themselves.

What is this Player List Function thing? I am not sure I understand what it does and how it helps.
