I started playing another monster collecting game called Duel Revolution last night. MaxieDaMan, my favorite Sonic fan music composer made the soundtrack for the game so I wanted to try it out. It's a free to play turned based RPG, but man it needs a lot of work. It's designed for mobile devices too, but I got the steam version. There isn't full controller support, and the way you evolve your creatures called Evo is weird. You can't level up your Evo's if they're ready to evolve, and you have to craft or obtain stones to evolve your Evo. Thing is, they take more than one stone to evolve too so you're kind of stuck with underlevel creatures until you're able to purchase recipes to craft stones and they cost 900 gold coins which you can either get from dueling other duelists, or actually purchasing them with real money. You can only duel duelists once a day, so unless you're willing to purchase coins with real money you're probably going to be stuck at the beginning of the game. Also the catch rate is abismal, and the items used to catch the Evo cost coins, if you want better capturing devices you better get ready to spend real money on diamonds... Yeah it's not that great of a game. Yet I want to keep playing it for some reason, I don't know why.

Yeah it's unfortunate, but despite this I'm still enjoying the game for some reason lol. I haven't paid a dime yet, and I plan on seeing how far I can get in the game without paying real money. At least there's daily tasks you can do to get coins, plus you can rebattle duelists every day so you do have many chances to earn coins. I did manage to catch a few more Evo using just the basic evocubes and noticed that there's a percentage that pops up every once in a while which will determine your likeliness of catching a Evo. I like turned based combat the most which is probably why I keep coming back to this game over Palworld lately. :S (I really need to get back into Palworld.)
