How do you plan your breeding combinations?

I've been spending more time with breeding in Palworld lately, and I'm finding that things get complicated pretty quickly when trying to breed for a specific Pal or passives.

I'm curious how other players usually approach it.

Do you normally:

• Work out the breeding path before starting?
• Keep track of parent combinations manually?
• Focus on passives first and then work on the final Pal?
• Or just experiment and see what you get?

I've also been trying a Palworld breeding calculator to make it easier to check possible combinations before using resources. It seems especially useful when the breeding path involves several generations.
